Interlocking Pavers — What You're Actually Buying
Interlocking pavers transfer load sideways from one unit to the next, so the surface behaves as one flexible pavement instead of a set of loose stones. That is why a properly interlocked driveway handles vehicles without cracking the way a slab does.
How We Build It
Interlock depends on three things: pattern, joint sand and edge restraint. We lay a 90-degree herringbone in vehicle areas, compact the field with sand in the joints, and restrain every open edge so the system cannot spread.
What Creates Real Interlock
Every scope is written out before work starts, so you know exactly what is included and what is not.
- Herringbone pattern in traffic areas
- Full-depth compacted base
- Bedding sand at a consistent depth
- Joint sand vibrated into every joint
- Edge restraint on all open edges
- Correct cuts, not slivers, at the perimeter
