Asphalt Driveway Paving In Queens, Brooklyn & Long Island
Asphalt is still the fastest, most cost-effective way to get a clean, sealed driveway on a New York property — as long as the base under it is built correctly. StoneSky excavates, installs and compacts a stone base, then lays and rolls hot-mix asphalt so the surface drains, holds up to plows and does not alligator in two winters.

Asphalt Driveway Paving — What You're Actually Buying
A full-depth asphalt driveway starts with excavation, not with paving. We remove the failed surface and enough subgrade to fit a compacted stone base, grade it to pitch water away from your house and garage, then lay hot-mix asphalt in binder and top courses and roll it while it is hot.
How We Build It
We schedule asphalt work around temperature — hot mix has to be laid and compacted before it cools, so we do not start a driveway we cannot finish and roll the same day. Edges are hand-raked and tapered, the apron transition is cut clean, and you will have a written cure and first-seal schedule before we leave.
What Goes Into An Asphalt Driveway
Every scope is written out before work starts, so you know exactly what is included and what is not.
- Excavation of the failed surface and unstable subgrade
- Compacted crushed-stone base sized for vehicle loads
- Grading and pitch planned so water leaves the driveway
- Binder course rolled, then a finished top course
- Hand-raked edges and a clean apron / sidewalk transition
- Written cure schedule and first-sealcoat timing
